* leading combinators (e.g., $collection.find("> *"))
* reliable functionality on XML fragments
* requiring all parts of a selector to match elements under context (e.g., $div.find("div > *") now matches children of $div)
* matching against non-elements
* reliable sorting of disconnected nodes
